The weather is playing at shadow boxing today here in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where the wineries of the Summit to Sea Wine Trail will welcome visitors with warmth and a wonderful selection of wines for your Thanksgiving table. Although the clouds may descend periodically, the colors of autumn will shine from the hillsides like a glow from within. Come experience Fall!

Burrell School’s 2006 Estate Pinot Noir is big and bold, with a linebacker-like structuret hat’s bursting with ripe cherry and raspberry-chocolate goodness. And it’s on sale for just $35! Grab a few to share with plump Pinot loving friends.

Loma Prieta’s Pinotage is a thing of beguiling beauty: it’s Pinot on steroids! Enjoy music by guitar genius Mark Abdilla.

Hunter Hill has a flirty, fun and fruity Grenache to offer, along with a delicious Syrah Rose, only $10 per bottle. The ever popular Rock n’ Rhone will convert the last Syrah skeptic on earth to its inherently earthy goodness.

Poetic Cellars has two case specials on wine that will make every menu rhyme:

  • “Harvest Bounty: Big Reds:” 3 Cab, 3 Syrah, 3 Ballad and 3 Petite Sirah: just $248
