samkirbradCV-Front-2007Winemaker Bradley Brown will be pouring at the brand new Big Basin Vineyards tasting room in Saratoga from 3pm til 6pm on Friday and Saturday, Sept 10 & 11. Come see the beautiful town of Saratoga and enjoy some of the finest mountain wines in the appellation.

Bradley will be previewing the 07 Coastview Syrah from the nosebleed high vineyard in the Gabilan mountains overlooking the entire Salinas Valley. this is an extraordinary wine and perfect for the crisp, cool days of Fall that are rapidly approaching.

Come by and enjoy a glass of some of the best Pinot around and some truly sensational Syrahs, and say hello to Bradley, Samantha and baby Kiran.

Saratoga Adds New Wine Tasting Room

Opening Day for the new Big Basin Vineyards Tasting Room in downtown Saratoga on Big Basin Way is Thursday, August 19th at 11am. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 4pm, followed by a reception at  Sent Sovi. The tasting room will remain open til 6pm.

Big Basin Vineyards has been producing highly acclaimed Rhone wines since its first vintage in 2003. It was named one of the top 100 wineries in 2008 by Robert Parker Jr., who enthusiastically noted the “Impressive Syrahs.” Wine Spectator Magazine cited Big Basin as one of ten “Promising new producers” of Syrah in California. With the 2006 harvest, proprietor and winemaker Bradley Brown began producing single vineyard Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noirs, again, to critical acclaim.  The Estate vineyard is located in Boulder Creek, on the way to Big Basin State Park, on the site of a vineyard originally planted in the 1880s. Big Basin Vineyards Opens Tasting Room in Saratoga

Opening Day for the new Big Basin Vineyards Tasting Room in the charming village of  Saratoga on Big Basin Way is Thursday, August 19th at 11am.
There will be an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4pm, followed by a reception for attending invitees. The tasting room will remain open until 6pm that evening for tasting.

Additionally, photographs of the estate vineyards taken by proprietor and winemaker Bradley Brown will be displayed.

Acquire Big Basin Vineyards Releases Now

Only a limited number of cases remain on the most popular Big Basin wines!
Fans of Big Basin wines might want to order while they last. They are disappearing into cellars  fast, especially the 2007 Alfaro Pinot Noir (92 pts Connoisseurs Guide) and the 2007 Odeon Cabernet/Syrah blend (93 pts Spectator). Any remaining cases are about to be allocated to the new tasting room, slated to open in August in Saratoga. The current releases will also be available at the winery for the Fall Release event in Boulder Creek. Stay tuned for further news!

Big Basin Pours at Pinot Days, June 27, in San Francisco

With summer comes the official start of Pinot Days, a much-anticipated ode
to our favorite grape, Pinot Noir.
Join winemaker Bradley Brown of Big Basin Vineyards,
as he pours his highly acclaimed Santa Cruz Mountains Pinots in the
company of 200 other world class producers of this Burgundian charmer
at Pinot Days at Fort Mason in San Francisco, Sunday,
June 27. If you love Pinot Noir, this is the event for
you. This is the only Pin0t-centric event in the Bay Area that
showcases Pinots from all the renowned domestic growing regions . For
just $60, you can taste through the terroir of the Santa Lucia
Highlands, Anderson Valley, Santa Maria Valley, Santa Rita Hills and so
many more. Gourmet food purveyors, focused seminars that drill down on
