Fans of Big Basin wines might want to order while they last. They are disappearing into cellars fast, especially the 2007 Alfaro Pinot Noir (92 pts Connoisseurs Guide) and the 2007 Odeon Cabernet/Syrah blend (93 pts Spectator). Any remaining cases are about to be allocated to the new tasting room, slated to open in August in Saratoga. Big Basin Vineyards will open its doors for the annual Fall Release celebration the third weekend of September. Come experience the latest releases and enjoy the beautiful fall foliage in Boulder Creek on the way to the estate vineyard on Memory Lane, in the heart of the Big Basin watershed. Two complimentary tickets will be offered to Friends of the Vineyard members, and the rest will be sold first come, first served. Only 150 tickets will be available per day.
