Introducing “Her VineNess”

by Cheryl Wolhar - MyVineSpace on October 1, 2009

Her VineNessI want to introduce you all to Laura Ness, aka, “Her VineNess” and welcome her to the MyVineSpace blog where she will be a guest contributor for the foreseeable future. Laura and I met at a Wine Makers Dinner at Restaurant James Randall early in September. We had a wonderful time, great food and spectacular wine.  As I said in an earlier blog, I am convinced that we were sitting at the fun table and got a chance to not only meet Laura but a few other Santa Cruz Mountain characters including Katy Lovell from Poetic Cellars.

Laura is a long-time resident of the Santa Cruz Mountains in Northern California, where rugged terrain helps create uniquely character-driven wine. She’s been exploring the ever-growing wine regions of California for nearly 30 years, and writes for many industry and consumer publications.  Here’s a post from Jo Diaz of “PS I Love You” about Laura and here’s an article written by Laura for Wine Business Monthly regarding the 7th annual Petite Sirah Noble Symposium at Concannon.

Her VineNess will tell you that great wine is like poetry: it sings to you in a voice you can’t ignore, and with a melody you can never forget.  Each wine region has a secret message you can only decode by being there.  Arrive, observe, sip, savor and pass it on.

You will be able to find her writings here under the “Her VineNess” tab and I know that you will enjoy her posts as much as I do.

Welcome to MyVineSpace Laura!
